Overview

Shallow Foundation Program

The Shallow Foundation tool by Rischio is a software developed to assess the stability and bearing capacity of shallow foundations, such as isolated or strip footings, resting on different soil types. The program uses well-established geotechnical engineering methods to calculate:

  • Ultimate and allowable bearing capacity
  • Immediate elastic settlement
  • Associated safety factors

If you’re a new user, we recommend visiting the Tutorials and Verifications section and following the first tutorial. It will help you get familiar with the basic functions of the software and understand the general workflow.
